Sri Kamatchi Amman Nursery & Primary School

We are located at 31/69 on Malayala Street in Kanchipuram. It’s a narrow street, so things feel a bit tight when parents come to pick up their children. The school is a nursery and primary setup. We have been here for a good amount of time. The rooms are filled with the usual school stuff like colorful charts and alphabet posters. Most of them are a bit faded now. It’s a small place, so everyone knows everyone else’s name. We don't have a big fancy website or anything. If someone wants to know about us, they just walk in through the front door. The floors are stone and stay relatively cool even when it’s hot outside. We have a few cupboards for books and a small area where the kids eat their lunch. Sometimes the street gets a bit noisy with the local traffic, but the kids don’t seem to mind. They are mostly busy playing or learning their letters. Our teachers are local ladies who have a lot of patience. We don't have a grand entrance or a paved parking lot. It’s just a regular building on a regular street. We try to keep things simple and honest. Dealing with little kids all day is tiring, but it’s what we do. It’s a very local Kanchipuram vibe here, nothing fancy, just a place for kids to start out before they go to the bigger schools.
