Primrose Schools

Our school is at No 1/367 on the East Coast Road in Injambakkam, Chennai. Being near the ECR means we sometimes get a bit of a breeze from the ocean, which is nice during the hotter months. The road outside is very busy with people heading down towards Mahabalipuram, so the sound of cars is always there in the background. The school building is set back a little from the road. Inside, it’s a mix of different classrooms for various ages. We have some colorful displays on the walls, mostly things the students have drawn or colored in themselves. The floors are tiled and easy to clean, which is good because the kids bring in a lot of sand from outside. We have a play area with some swings and slides that are well-used. Lunchtime is the loudest part of the day when everyone is out of their seats and eating together. The teachers here are quite busy managing the daily schedule of classes and breaks. We don't have a massive campus, but we use the space we have for everything from morning assembly to afternoon sports. It’s a practical environment where the focus is on the daily work of teaching and learning. There’s nothing particularly flashy about it, just a regular school where children come to spend their day while their parents are at work. The evening pick-up can be a bit slow because of the ECR traffic, but we manage to get everyone safely on their way eventually.
