Pachahari Primary School

Pachahari Primary School is situated at No 36E on Aladi Pillaiyar Kovil Street in Kanchipuram. As you can guess from the street name, we are quite close to the temple area. This means there’s always some activity or music nearby, which gives the place a very local feel. We are a small primary school, so we mostly see the little ones from the immediate neighborhood. The building is simple and sits right on the street. It’s not a grand estate, just a few rooms where the children learn their first letters and numbers. Kanchipuram is a traditional place, and our school reflects that. The kids arrive in their uniforms, and you can hear them reciting their lessons from the sidewalk. We don't have much in the way of high-tech gadgets, just the basics like charts on the walls and plenty of books. The teachers are very patient because working with primary kids takes a lot of energy. On festival days, the street gets really packed, and the school feels like it’s right in the heart of everything. It’s a very humble setting, really. We just focus on the children and making sure they feel comfortable while they learn. It’s been this way for a while now, and the local families seem to appreciate having a school so close to home. It is just a small, quiet part of a very famous town.
