Larsen & Toubro Limited

I work over at the Manapakkam office, specifically P.B.No.979 on Mount Poonamallee Road. Even though the name Larsen & Toubro Limited is on the big sign outside, for those of us here every day, it’s just our workplace. The road outside is always packed with traffic, especially during the morning rush. It’s a big site with a lot of buildings and gates, and it can be a bit confusing if you’ve never been here before. My day usually starts with checking the logs and seeing what’s moved overnight. We have a lot of people coming in and out, from drivers to engineers. It’s a busy atmosphere, but we try to keep things organized. There are plenty of meetings and a lot of paperwork, which isn't the most exciting part of the job, but it’s necessary. The sun beats down on the pavement here and it gets really hot in the afternoons. We aren't sitting around thinking about some big corporate goals. We’re mostly just worried about hitting the next deadline or making sure the equipment is where it needs to be. It’s a massive operation, sure, but it’s still run by regular people who get tired and want to get home to their families. We’ve been in Manapakkam for a long time and the area has grown up all around us. It’s just how things are now.
