L & T

Our branch is over in Manapakkam, situated on Mount Poonamalee Road. L & T has a big presence here, but inside our specific area, it just feels like a bunch of people trying to get through their to-do lists. The road outside is almost always packed with traffic, so we hear a lot of horns honking throughout the day. The building is large, and it takes a while to walk from one end to the other. We have rows of desks, some cubicles, and a few small rooms for catching up on things. It’s a lot of computers and whiteboards filled with scribbles. You see people carrying rolls of paper or laptops everywhere you look. It isn't a very cozy place, but it is efficient for what we need to do. There are water coolers every few yards where people stand and talk for a minute before getting back to it. The cafeteria gets pretty crowded around noon, which is usually when you hear the most gossip about what’s happening in the neighborhood. We don’t really use fancy language to talk about our day. It’s mostly about schedules and whether things are on track. The view from the windows is just more buildings and the busy road. It’s a very practical environment. We don't have any missions or visions stuck on the walls in our section. We just show up, do the office work, and wait for the evening commute to start.
