Our office for Larsen & Toubro Ltd.-Ecc Division is located over at No:9, Pulavar Jaganathan Street. That is in Pasumpon Nagar, within the Pammal area of Chennai. If you know Chennai, you know how humidity gets, especially when you are working near the coastal parts. We’ve got a small space here that serves as our local base. The pin code is 600075. It’s a residential-turned-commercial kind of street, so it feels a bit more like a neighborhood than a cold business district. We have some good neighbors who have been here as long as we have. The work we do involves a lot of coordination for the division’s projects around the city. It’s not the kind of place with a big shiny sign or a glass elevator. We have some wooden desks, a few old computers, and a lot of paper. We try to keep things as tidy as we can, though sometimes the blueprints take over the whole room. Usually, someone is always here to answer the door during the day. We take our lunch breaks together when things aren't too frantic. It’s a standard routine of checking logs and making sure the teams have what they need. We don't try to be anything we aren't; we are just a hard-working group of people trying to make sure the projects stay on schedule in this part of Tamil Nadu. We just keep our heads down and work.
