Sri Nivasa Engineering

Ramapuram Road is a busy stretch. Our shop at 3/3 in Sathya Nagar stays pretty dusty because of all the traffic passing by. Sri Nivasa Engineering has been in Manappakam for a good while now. We handle a lot of metal work and mechanical stuff. There is always the smell of grease and the sound of someone welding or grinding something. It’s not a quiet job. My hands are usually stained with oil by ten in the morning. We don't have a receptionist or a fancy waiting room. If you come by, you’ll probably find us hunched over a machine or looking at some drawings. We take on whatever work comes through the door as long as we have the tools for it. Sometimes we have to wait for parts to arrive from the other side of the city, which slows things down. The humidity in this part of town can be brutal in the afternoon. We just drink a lot of water and keep at it. There’s a certain way we do things here, nothing fancy, just standard engineering work. It’s what we know. We don’t spend much on advertising because people around here already know where we are. We just open up the shutters and get to work every day. The scrap pile out back grows and we have to clear it once a week.
