We are based over at 21-A on Haji Street here in Chennai. Emas Engineering & Contractors Pvt Ltd has been around this part of the city for quite some time now. The street can get pretty crowded with traffic, especially in the afternoons, but we’ve gotten used to the noise. Our office isn't anything special to look at, just a place where we keep our files and meet up before heading out to various job sites. We do a mix of engineering and contracting work. Most days involve a lot of phone calls to suppliers and making sure our crews have what they need to keep moving. Chennai is a tough city to build in sometimes because of the heat and the regulations, but we know the ropes. We aren't into big speeches or fancy brochures; we just get the job done. If someone comes in with a problem, we sit down and figure out how to fix it without making a big fuss. It’s a lot of paperwork too, which nobody likes, but it’s part of the business. We focus on the Tamil Nadu area mostly, staying within reach of the office so we can keep an eye on things. It’s a steady rhythm of work, from the first cup of coffee until we lock up the gate at night. We’re just regular people trying to do right by our clients and keep the projects moving forward without any unnecessary delays or complications.
