Expo International

We are based down in Zamin Pallavaram on Bharathi Nagar Main Road. It’s house number 98. Chennai can get incredibly hot in the afternoons, and our street is no exception. At Expo International, we don't really have any air conditioning that works well, so we just keep the fans going at full speed and drink a lot of water. Bharathi Nagar is a decent place to be. There’s a lot of traffic on the main road, which can be annoying when we’re trying to load things into the trucks. We’ve been at this address for quite a few years now. The building is a bit old and the paint is peeling, but it does the job. Most of our work involves a lot of paperwork and phone calls. It gets noisy with the trucks passing by outside all day. We don't have any big corporate mission or anything; we just show up every morning and see what needs to be done. Sometimes the internet is slow, and we just have to wait for it to catch up. It’s a very straightforward operation. I usually have tea with the guys from the shop next door during the afternoon break. It’s a tight-knit community here in Pallavaram. We just do our business and try to get home before the evening traffic gets too bad. It’s not a glamorous life, but it’s ours and we are used to it.
