Chennai Machine Tools

Chennai Machine Tools is located right on Gandhinagar Main Road in Ekkaduthangal. If you see the Hyundai showroom, you basically found us because we are right across the street at number 143. It’s a decent spot because the road is wide enough for people to pull over occasionally without blocking everything. The shop itself is mostly full of heavy equipment and different parts for machines. It’s not the cleanest place in the world, as there is always a bit of oil or dust around, but that’s just how it goes with machine tools. We spend our days mostly answering questions and helping people find the right bit or piece for their specific projects. It gets quite hot in the afternoons, especially when the sun hits the front of the shop, so we usually have a couple of noisy fans going to keep the air moving. We've been in Ekkaduthangal for a while and have seen the area change quite a bit with more showrooms and glass buildings going up. Our routine is pretty simple. We show up, get things ready, and see who comes by. It’s a lot of manual checking and making sure we actually have what people are asking for in the back room. The back room is a bit of a mess, honestly, but we know where most things are kept. It’s just a basic shop where we do our work without any extra fluff or fancy displays. We like being near the main road.
