We are at H No.161 A in Santinagar, which is in the Kahilipara part of Guwahati. We decided to start a food business because we all like to cook and we saw that people were looking for something local. It’s a small setup right in the neighborhood. Our space is usually full of the smell of spices or whatever we are working on that day. It’s not a big industrial plant. Most of the work is done by a small group of us. We spend a lot of time washing, cutting, and packing things by hand. It’s a bit tiring, but it feels good to see the finished product. Sometimes the power goes out in Kahilipara, and we have to stop everything and wait. It’s just one of those things you have to deal with here. We sell our stuff to the local shops nearby. We don't have a big marketing budget or any fancy packaging. We just try to make things that taste like home. Our neighbors sometimes pop in to see what we are making. It’s a bit crowded in the kitchen sometimes, but we make it work. We aren't trying to be some huge international brand. We just want to make a decent living doing something we actually enjoy. It’s hard work, but we are happy with how things are going so far.
