Maa Bhagabati F2M Farmers Producer Company Limited is situated at Plot No-402, Khata No-220 in Ramkapur. We are right there in the Sukleswar area. F2M stands for Farm to Market, and that is exactly what we spend our days doing. We saw that a lot of good food was being grown around Ramkapur but getting it to the right buyers was always a headache. So, we set this up to bridge that gap. The office isn't much to look at, just a functional space where we keep our records and meet with the village elders and the younger farmers. It gets pretty loud when everyone shows up at once to discuss the new crops. We have to deal with the local weather and the transport trucks that don't always show up on time. It is a practical business. We are more interested in the weight of the bags and the color of the vegetables than in fancy business terms. Most of us grew up here, so we know the soil and the water situation well. We spend our mornings checking on the fields and our afternoons at the Sukleswar office trying to coordinate where the trucks need to go next. It’s a lot of manual work and checking things twice to make sure nobody gets shortchanged. It feels good to be working for our own people here and making sure the harvest doesn't go to waste.
