This is Bhuvada Baba Mahila Farmers Producer Company Limited. We are a group of women farmers over in Ward-4 on Surani Road in Dahi. It’s not common for the women to run the business side of things, but we decided it was time. We all have our own small plots of land or work on our family farms. We realized that if we pooled our crops together, we could get better prices at the market. It’s a lot of work on top of everything else we do at home. We meet up when we can to discuss the finances and the crops. It’s usually loud with kids around and lots of talking. We don’t use any fancy business words. We just talk about what’s fair and what we need. Surani Road is where you can find us. We’re proud of what we’re doing here. It’s about making sure our families are taken care of. We handle the seeds, the harvesting, and the selling. Sometimes the men help out, but we make the decisions. It hasn't been easy, but we are learning as we go. We don't have a big office, just a small space where we keep our tools and bags. It feels good to be in charge of our own work. We just want a simple, decent life for our community. We are just ordinary women working hard every single day to make things better.
