Innovative International School

If you head down to Islamabad Colony in Gulbarga, you’ll find us at the 10th Cross near Nehrugunj. It’s a lively neighborhood, and our school is right in the middle of it. The building is a bit of a mix of old and new sections. We have been here long enough that most of the neighbors know the staff by name. The mornings are always a bit chaotic with parents dropping off their kids on motorcycles and the local shops opening up. Inside the school, things are pretty straightforward. We have classrooms with wooden desks and benches, and the walls are covered with drawings the students made. It’s not a polished, high-tech place, but it works for us and the community. We have a lot of stairs, which keeps everyone moving. The dust in Gulbarga can be a bit much, so there’s a lot of sweeping to do every single afternoon. Our staff room is small and usually smells like coffee. We spend our time planning the next day or sorting out the registers. There isn't any fancy jargon here; we just talk about the students and how the week is going. It’s a hard-working environment where people just do their jobs without a lot of fuss. The 10th Cross is a busy spot, but it feels like home to us after all these years of being here. We just try to keep the gates open and the fans running.
