You can find us over at D.No. 01 in Peddapeta Village, specifically in the building for Action In Rural Technology Andservice. That is where Swechavathi Farmer Producer Company Limited operates. It’s a small village and our spot is pretty easy to find once you get into the main area. We focus on helping farmers here get access to better tools and ways of doing things that aren't so old-fashioned. It’s not a high-tech lab or anything like that, just a place with some equipment and a few desks where we plan out our days. Most of the people involved are local farmers who spend their mornings in the dirt and their afternoons here at the office. We talk about what’s working in the fields and what isn't. Sometimes we have meetings under the big tree outside because it gets too stuffy indoors. The name Swechavathi means something to us, but mostly we just think of ourselves as a group of neighbors trying to improve our yields. We don't have a big staff, just a few people who handle the books and the supplies. The floor is usually a bit dirty from all the boots coming in and out, but that's just part of it. We are just trying to make the farming life in Peddapeta a little bit more efficient without losing the way we've always done things.
