Wh Bal Samand Lake Palace

Our location is on Mandore Road in Jodhpur. The palace has been around for a very long time, and you can really feel that when you walk through the gates. It’s sitting right by the lake, which makes the air feel a bit different than it does in the middle of the city. Jodhpur is known for being the Blue City, but out here on Mandore Road, things feel a bit more spread out. We have a lot of old trees and open spaces that require a lot of upkeep. The staff is mostly local people who have been working in this area for years. Every morning starts with checking on the gardens and making sure the paths are clear. It’s a quiet sort of life compared to the markets in the center of town. We don’t really go in for fancy talk about what we do. It’s just an old building by a lake that we look after. Sometimes the lake levels go down when the rain is scarce, and that changes the whole look of the place. We just take it as it comes. The sun hits the stone in the late afternoon and everything turns a warm color. It’s a nice enough place to work, even if the old buildings have their quirks and things that need fixing every other week. We just keep at it and stay busy with the day to day things.
