Vidhyarthi International School

We are located at Plot No. 10 in the Shankar Nagar area, which is part of Jhalamand in Jodhpur. People around here call us Vidhyarthi International School. The gates open pretty early every morning before the sun gets too high in the Rajasthan sky. It is a simple building where we have set up our classrooms and a small area for the kids to play during their breaks. Being in the 342005 zip code area, we get a lot of local families bringing their children to us. The halls are usually quite loud once the first bell rings. We don’t have fancy air conditioning in every single corner, but we make do with fans and open windows. Our teachers are mostly people from the neighborhood who have been with us for a while. There is a lot of dust that comes in from the road, so cleaning is a never-ending task for our small staff. We don’t really do big advertisements or anything like that. Most of our students come because their neighbors or cousins already go here. The daily routine is pretty straightforward with lessons, lunch, and a bit of time outside. We focus on the books and making sure the kids stay on track with their work. It can be a bit of a struggle when the power goes out, but we just keep going. It is just a normal school where we try to do a decent job every single day. We are glad to be part of this community.
