G. D. Memorial College As A Lecturer

I spend most of my time at G. D. Memorial College working as a lecturer. My actual spot is at Plot Number 6 in Vishal Nagar, which is near the Jhalamand Circle in Jodhpur. It’s a part of Rajasthan that has its own unique feel. The college is where I go every morning. I've got my desk and a bunch of papers that always seem to be piling up. It’s not a fancy office, just a workspace where I can get my grading done and prepare for the next class. The walk around Jhalamand Circle is familiar to me now. Jodhpur can get really hot, especially in the afternoons, so the classrooms with fans are always a relief. Being a lecturer here means interacting with a lot of different students every day. Some are eager and others are just trying to get through the day. I try to keep things simple in my teaching. We don't have huge fancy lecture halls, but the atmosphere is generally okay. It’s a lot of talking and explaining things. Sometimes I find myself repeating the same stuff, but that’s just the nature of the job. It feels good to be part of the local education scene here in Vishal Nagar. It’s a steady life and I like the routine of the academic year. It keeps me quite busy throughout the week.
