A-10 in Partap Nagar is where we are based. Venus Trading Co. has been operating from this spot for a long time. Partap Nagar is a busy residential and commercial mix, so there are always people walking by and scooters zooming around. Our office is a simple room with a couple of desks and some storage cabinets for all our records. It’s not a place for showing off; it’s a place for working. We handle a variety of trading tasks, which means our day is never really the same twice. One day we might be dealing with a lot of deliveries, and the next we are stuck at the desk doing accounts for hours. The lighting inside isn't the best, so we keep the door open whenever we can to let in some natural light and a bit of a breeze. We know the tea seller around the corner very well, and that’s usually where we get our morning start. We don't have any fancy mission statements or corporate slogans. We just try to be honest in our dealings and keep our word. It’s a small operation, and we like the personal feel of it. When someone calls, they usually talk to the same person every time. The neighborhood can be noisy, but you get used to it. It’s just a regular Partap Nagar business doing its best to keep things moving day after day.
