Tirupati Handicraft

Our workshop is over in the Mandore Industrial Area at E-160. It’s a bit of a dusty place because of all the work we do with wood and stone throughout the day. Tirupati Handicraft isn't a retail showroom with bright lights and air conditioning. It’s more of a place where things actually get made by hand. We have a few skilled workers who have been with us for years. They know how to handle the tools and create things, which is getting much harder to find these days. We don't have a big catalog of items to browse. Often, we are just working on whatever custom order came in last week. The floor is covered in sawdust most of the time, and it can get pretty loud when everyone is working at once. We started this because we wanted to keep the local craft traditions going in our own small way. It’s hard to compete with factory-made stuff that’s sold in big stores, but we just keep doing what we know best. We don't spend any money on advertising. People usually find us by word of mouth or by wandering into the industrial area looking for something specific for their home. We have a small office in the corner where we keep our papers and drink tea, but most of the time we are out on the floor. It’s honest work, and it keeps us grounded in the community.
