R. L. Timber Industries

Over here at E-215 in Boranada, things stay pretty dusty most of the time. That’s just the nature of working with wood. R. L. Timber Industries isn't one of those clean, corporate showrooms. It’s a real factory floor. We are tucked away in Phase-IIIrd, right near the Pepsi factory, so it’s easy to find us if you’re looking for the big stacks of logs. I’ve been working here since the industrial area was a lot quieter than it is now. We cut a lot of timber for different construction projects around the city. The saws make a lot of noise, so you have to yell a bit to be heard over the machinery. We don’t spend much time on computers or fancy websites. Most of our day is spent checking the quality of the wood and making sure the orders are loaded onto the trucks correctly. It’s hard work and the sun gets really hot out here in the yard. Sometimes the wood shipments are late or the weather makes it hard to dry everything out, but we manage. We’ve got a good crew of guys who have been with us for years. They know exactly how to handle the heavy stuff. We mostly deal with local builders and furniture makers who just need reliable wood for their shops. It’s a plain business, nothing too complicated about it. We just show up and do the work.
