Umaid Bhawan Palace, Taj Luxury Hotels

Umaid Bhawan Palace is a very large building in the 342006 area. It has been standing here for a long time, and we are the ones who look after it. Working under the Taj name means there is always a lot to do, but we just take it one day at a time without getting too overwhelmed. The stone walls and the big gardens take a massive amount of work to keep up, and sometimes it feels like we are constantly sweeping or trimming. Most of us have been working here for years, so we know every corner of the place, even the spots people don't see. It is not just a hotel for us, it is where we spend all our time. We see guests from all over the world, but to us, it’s just our daily job in Jodhpur. The rooms are big and the ceilings are very high, which makes cleaning a bit of a task, but we have a rhythm for it. In the evenings, the sun hits the building in a certain way, and it looks nice, but then we have to get ready for the dinner service. It is a busy life here, and there is always something that needs fixing or polishing. We just try to make sure everything is in its place before the next group arrives. It is a historic spot, sure, but it is also a place where people work hard every single day to keep things running. It's a lot of walking, that's for sure.
