The Umed

The Umed is located right in Berio Ka Mohalla. It is a traditional kind of neighborhood, and we have been here for a long time. The streets around us are narrow and full of life. You can hear the sounds of the neighborhood all day long. We aren't a big, modern hotel with glass walls. We are part of the old fabric of this place. The building itself has been through a lot, and we do our best to keep it in good shape. It’s a constant job of painting and fixing things that break. We don't have a marketing team or anyone to write fancy descriptions for us. We just tell people we have rooms and we are in Berio Ka Mohalla. Most of our guests find us by word of mouth or because they wanted to stay in this specific part of town. It feels very local here. We know the people who live in the houses next door. Sometimes we sit out front and talk to the neighbors. It’s a slow pace of life in some ways, but there is always something to do to keep the hotel running. We don't make any big promises. We just provide a place to stay and a bit of a friendly face when you walk in the door. It’s a simple way to live and work. We just keep the doors open and see who comes by.
