Suman Hotel

Suman Hotel is located on MES Road, which is also known as Air Force Road in Jodhpur. We are right opposite the Slocos Mess. Being near the Air Force area means it’s a bit different from the crowded parts of the old city. It feels a bit more open here. The sun in Jodhpur is really strong, so our walls are thick to try and keep the heat out. We have rooms for people who are visiting the base or just passing through the city. The furniture is just basic stuff we’ve had for a long time. It’s not a luxury place, just a spot to sleep and have a wash. We spend a lot of our time checking people in and out or making sure the linens are washed. The road outside has a lot of military vehicles going back and forth. It’s fairly quiet at night, which our guests usually like. We don't have a big fancy lobby. It's just a desk and some chairs. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait for it to come back. That's just how things are here in this part of town. We see a lot of families coming to meet their relatives who are working nearby. We don't have a big kitchen menu, just simple meals that feel like they were made at home. It’s a straightforward business and we just take each day as it comes, looking after the building.
