Stepping Stones Nursery School

Our nursery school is on 1St C Road in the Sardarpura area of Jodhpur. It is a small place because we only deal with the little kids who are just starting out with their education. The building is more like a house that has been changed around to fit a few classrooms for the children. We have colorful walls and some toys scattered around the rooms to keep them busy during the day. It is a bit messy sometimes, but that is just what happens when you have small children running around all morning long. The teachers here are used to the noise and the crying that happens sometimes when parents drop them off at the gate in the mornings. We have a small area where they can play outside when the sun is not too hot. Sardarpura is a busy part of town, so we have to be very careful about the front gate and the traffic on the road outside. Most of our students live in the nearby streets. We don't do anything very complicated here. It is just about teaching them their letters and numbers and how to sit still for a little while before lunch. The parents are usually our neighbors from the local area. We talk to them every day at the gate when they come to pick up the kids. It is a very local kind of school. We have some small chairs and tables that fit the kids nicely.
