Montessori Child Centre

Down at Plot Number 128 in the Polo 2nd Paota area of Jodhpur, you will find the Montessori Child Centre. It’s a quiet enough street, away from the main traffic of the city, which is good because we have little ones here all day. The building is more like a house than a big institution, which makes the kids feel a bit more comfortable when they first start coming. We have a small outdoor area where they can play when it isn't too hot outside. Jodhpur sun can be tough, so we spend a lot of time in the shaded rooms where we have all the mats and toys spread out. It’s a bit noisy during the day with all the singing and playing, but that is just how it goes with children. We aren't a big corporate chain. It’s just us here, looking after the kids and making sure they learn their colors and numbers. The parents are usually our neighbors or people working nearby in Paota. They drop their children off in the morning, sometimes staying for a minute to chat at the gate. We don't use any fancy teaching systems with big names; we just interact with the children and help them grow at their own pace. It’s a simple, honest setup where the focus is on keeping the kids happy and occupied with useful things while their parents are at work. We like seeing them get excited about small things.
