Shivam Palace Hotel

I'm writing this from the front desk here at Shivam Palace Hotel. We are located right in the middle of 146 Nai Sarak, not far from the Clock Tower at all. If you know this part of the city, you know how busy it gets with all the shops and people moving around. Our building has been here for a good while now. It isn't one of those big, modern glass hotels you see in the newer parts of town. It’s more of a practical place for people who need a room while they’re traveling or doing business in the market. Most days it’s quite loud outside because of the traffic and the vendors, but inside we just try to keep things running. The rooms are simple. We have the basic stuff like beds and fans, and we try to keep the floors clean even with all the dust from the street coming in. Sometimes the power goes out in the area, but that’s just how it is around here. Usually, it's just me or one of the other guys sitting here at the entrance. We see a lot of different people coming through, some staying for a night and others for a week. We don't have a big fancy lobby or a gym, just a place to sleep and leave your bags while you go out. It’s a very local spot and we like being part of this neighborhood.
