Santosh Arts

We’re located at 19 Durga Vihar, just off the Pal Link Road. It’s a fairly easy spot to find if you’re coming from the main crossing. Here at Santosh Arts, the place is usually smelling of paint or glue, depending on what project we’re currently working on. We do a lot of different things, from signs to small decorative pieces, so there’s always something new taking up space on the floor. It’s not a clean art gallery with white walls; it’s more of a workshop where we actually get our hands dirty and make a bit of a mess. There are brushes drying in jars and half-finished boards leaning against the walls. Sometimes we run out of a certain color and have to go out and find it, which can be a bit of a hassle in the afternoon heat of the city. The team here is small, just a few of us who have been doing this for years now. We don't have a big sales pitch or any fancy brochures. People usually come in because they saw something we made for someone else and liked it. We just sit down, have a glass of water, talk about what they want, and see if we can make it happen for them. It’s a quiet life for the most part, though things can get pretty hectic when we have a big deadline. We just keep our heads down and keep painting until the job is done.
