Artland Enterprises

Our workshop and office is at E-637 in Basni Phase 2. This part of Jodhpur is mostly industrial, so it’s surrounded by other warehouses and small factories. Artland Enterprises has been operating from this location for several years. We do a lot of work with our hands here, mostly preparing items and getting them ready for transport. The sun in Jodhpur can be really intense, especially in the afternoons, so the shed can get pretty hot. We have a few big fans that stay on all day. There isn't much in the way of decoration in the office. It’s just some old wooden desks and piles of invoices. We spend our mornings checking the quality of the materials that come in. It’s a dirty job sometimes, but someone has to do it. The local workers here are hardworking and we’ve all been together for a while. We don't have a big sign outside, just the address painted near the door. People who need us usually find us by word of mouth or because they’ve been coming here for years. We eat our lunch together in the shade of the back wall. It's a simple life. We don't use any high-tech systems, just basic tools and honest effort. The day usually ends with us locking up and hoping the traffic on the main road isn't too bad for the ride home. It's a long commute for some of us, but we make it work every day.
