N Art Export

N Art Export is situated in Purbiyon Ka Bas, right near Umaid Chowk. This is one of those old parts of the city where the streets are so narrow you have to pull over to let a motorcycle pass. Our building is an old structure that has been adapted for our export work. It has a lot of character, with high ceilings and small windows that do not let in much light. We have to use a lot of lamps even during the day to see what we are doing. The area around Umaid Chowk is always full of life, with people going to the temple or the market. We are tucked away in a little lane that stays relatively quiet compared to the main chowk. Inside, the rooms are filled with art pieces and packing materials. It is a bit of a climb up the stairs to the upper floor where we keep the finished items. The wooden floors creak whenever someone walks across them. We have a small kitchen area where we make our own coffee and heat up our tiffins. It is a very local atmosphere and everyone in the neighborhood knows who we are. We do not have a big sign outside, just a small plate by the door. Most of our work involves carefully wrapping things so they do not break during shipping. It is slow, steady work in a place that feels like it has been there forever.
