We’ve been around the Bhasker Circle area for a while now. The hotel is right there in Ratanada. It’s a busy spot in Jodhpur but our place, Ratan Vilas, is where we keep things running every day. It’s not fancy or anything, just a spot for people to stay when they come through the city. We deal with the usual stuff, like making sure the rooms are ready and the staff shows up on time. Jodhpur gets hot, especially in the summer months, so we spend a lot of time checking on the coolers and the water. My family has been in this area for years, and we just wanted to have a place that felt like it belonged here. Sometimes the traffic outside gets a bit loud, but that's just how it is living near the circle. We don't have a big corporate office or anything like that. It's just us and the few people who help us out. We try to keep the place tidy. If something breaks, we fix it ourselves or call someone we know from down the street. It’s a straightforward business. We see a lot of travelers and sometimes people just passing through for work. We’ve seen the neighborhood change quite a bit over the years. New shops open and old ones close, but we’re still here at the same address. It's a lot of work keeping a hotel going, but it keeps us busy and we like the routine.
