Parihar Sweets Mandore Rd

We are located at 5-6 in Mahamandir, right along the Mandore Road. Being on such a main road means it’s never really quiet. The traffic goes by all day, and we get a lot of people stopping in on their way somewhere else. At Parihar Sweets, our focus is just on keeping the trays full. We have these big glass cases, and we spend a lot of time wiping the fingerprints off them. Making sweets is a sticky business. We’ve got the milk boiling in the back and the smell of cardamom everywhere. It’s a job that requires a lot of standing around and watching the pots so nothing burns. The Mandore Road area is a great place to work because you see all sorts of people. We have our regulars who come in every week for the same thing. The shop isn't anything special to look at, just a place with good food and a couple of stools if someone wants to sit for a minute. We don't use fancy machines for everything; a lot of it is still done by hand because that’s how we learned. Sometimes it gets overwhelming when a holiday is coming up, but we just put our heads down and work through the pile of orders. It’s just us, doing what we know how to do, right here in Mahamandir. We don't need much else besides a hot stove and some fresh ingredients to keep going.
