Nvb Creation is right there in the third lane of Bhagat Ki Kothi, just opposite the Krishna Mandir. It’s a narrow street, so it’s always a bit of a squeeze when a delivery truck comes through. Jodhpur can get incredibly hot, and our building at number 211 definitely feels it. We spend a lot of time on the phone or working with small tools. The sound of the temple bells across the way is how we mark our day. We start early before the sun gets too high. There’s usually a layer of dust on everything because of the wind here. We spend half our morning just wiping down the workspace. We make things here, but it’s not a high-tech factory. It’s more about hands-on work. Sometimes we get orders that are a bit unusual, and we have to sit down and figure out how to make it work. There’s a lot of trial and error involved. We’ve had the same crew for a while now. We know each other’s families and habits. It’s a small space, so you can’t really hide if you’re having a bad day. We just get on with it. The work is steady but it’s never easy. By the time the evening prayer starts at the mandir, we’re usually ready to pack up and head home to our families. It’s been our routine for years and it works for us.
