We are based out in the M. I. A. Basni 2nd Phase, at unit E-334. If you’ve been to this part of Jodhpur, you know it’s a lot of factories and sheds. It gets very hot in the summer, and the wind blows the sand around, so we spend a lot of time keeping the fabric covered up. We’ve been working here for quite a while now. Our main thing is fabric, mostly for exporting. The workshop is usually busy with the sound of cutting and packing. We don't have a big marketing team or anyone to write fancy letters. We just answer the phone and talk to people straight. Sometimes things get a bit disorganized when we have three orders going out at once, but we always figure it out by the end of the day. The guys working the floor have been with us for years. They know the rhythm of the place. We eat lunch together in the small break area when we can. It’s a lot of hard work and not much glamour. We try to keep our costs down so we can stay competitive, which means we don't spend money on a fancy front office. If you come to visit, you’ll probably find us with our sleeves rolled up, checking the dye lots or making sure the stitching is okay. It’s just how we run things here in Basni. The machines are a bit old, but they work fine for our needs.
