Our place is at Plot No. 78 in the Aditya Dwarkadhish Colony on Kharda Road. If you know Basni Benda, you know it can get a bit dusty and the roads are always a work in progress. Nimittam Organics started out as just an idea between friends who wanted better food options. Now, we spend our mornings checking on stocks and our afternoons making sure orders are packed up right. The colony is quiet for the most part, which lets us get our work done without too much distraction. We don’t have a big fancy sign or a lobby. It’s more of a functional workspace where the focus is on the products. Sometimes the electricity goes out or the internet is slow, but we’ve learned to work around those little frustrations. We handle everything ourselves, from talking to the growers to making sure the labels are on straight. It’s not always glamorous work. There’s a lot of cleaning and organizing that goes into keeping an organic business running. We just want to provide something useful to the people around here without any of the extra fluff you see in big stores. It’s just us, a few tables, and a lot of boxes. We like the pace of life here on Kharda Road and we plan to stay for a good while. Every day is a bit different, and that’s what keeps it interesting for us.
