About Dholakiya Agri Farm – Agriculture & Farming in Jodhpur
We started Dholakiya Agri Farm a few years back at our place, House No. 5 in Ratanada. It’s right near the Ganesh Mandir, so we hear the temple bells every morning when we get things moving. Farming isn’t easy work, and we spend most of our days out in the dirt dealing with whatever the weather decides to do. Some days the sun is too hot and other days it’s just the usual routine of checking on the plants and making sure everything is growing okay. Our family has stayed here for a long time, and the house is always a bit busy with people coming in and out. We don’t have fancy offices or anything like that, just the shed and the fields where we spend our time. Sometimes the neighbors from the temple walk by and ask how the crops are doing. We mostly just focus on the soil and the water. It’s quiet in Ratanada compared to the main city, which is how we like it. The work is dirty and my hands are usually covered in mud by noon. We grew up around plants, so doing this felt like the natural thing to do after school. We keep the tools in the back of the house and the tractor gets parked near the gate. It's a simple life, really. We wake up early, do the watering, and hope for a good season. There isn't much more to it than that, just honest work under the sun every single day.
