Marble The 29

You can find us over at D-2 in Ratanada, right near the Tank House by Bhati Circle. It is a well-known part of the city, so people don’t usually have much trouble finding the shop. We deal in marble and stone, mostly just keeping things ready for whoever walks in. The area around Bhati Circle stays busy, which is good for us. We have a small space compared to the big industrial yards, but we pack it with as much variety as we can. It’s just a few of us working here most days. We spend a lot of time moving pieces around so the light hits them right for the customers. The shop gets a bit of dust because of the stone, but that’s expected in this line of work. We don’t have a big corporate team, just local guys who know a bit about marble. People come in with measurements for their kitchens or floors, and we show them what is in the stacks. It is a very direct way of doing things. Sometimes we have to move three or four heavy slabs just to get to the one someone wants to see. It keeps us active. Ratanada is a nice place to be based, even if parking can be a bit of a headache sometimes during the afternoon rush. We just focus on getting the work done and making sure the people who buy from us get what they were looking for.
