Madhuram Sweets

We are located in Sardarpura, at House No- 41A on the Main Banad Road. Being so close to the Rajasthan Hospital & Research Center means we see a lot of people coming and going all day long. Some are visiting patients and want to take something sweet, while others are just locals stopping by on their way home. We make all our sweets right in the back of the shop. You can usually smell the cardamom and boiling milk from the street. It’s a hot job, especially standing over the large kadhais in the middle of a Rajasthan summer. We don't have any fancy air conditioning in the kitchen, just a couple of big fans that don't do much. We stick to traditional recipes that have been around for ages. There’s no point in changing what works. Our counters are usually full of different barfis, ladoos, and jalebis. We try to keep everything fresh, so we don't make huge batches that sit around for days. Sometimes we run out of the popular items by late afternoon. The shop itself is quite small, so it gets crowded during the festival seasons like Diwali or Holi. We don't do any big marketing. Our regulars come back because they like the taste and they know us. It’s a simple, honest business and we enjoy being part of the Sardarpura community.
