Khushi D J Orchestra

We are located on Jawahar Khana Road in the Nai Sarak area of Jodhpur. Our place, Khushi D J Orchestra, is right near Khushi Footwear, so if you find the shoe shop, you’ve basically found us. Jodhpur is known for being the Blue City, but in Nai Sarak, it’s mostly just busy markets and lots of people. Our space is packed with musical instruments and sound boards. It’s not a very big room, so we have to stack the drums and speakers carefully. There is always a bit of a smell of old wood and electronics in the air. We spend our afternoons practicing or just fixing the gear that gets knocked around during the performances. The road outside is always noisy with rickshaws and motorbikes, so you can never really get full silence here. We have a couple of small stools for guests to sit on, but usually, we are standing up working on something. It’s a very hands-on kind of business. We don't use any fancy management software; we just write things down in a big ledger we keep on the main desk. The ceiling fan wobbles a bit, but it keeps the air moving. It’s a simple, local setup where we focus on the music and the equipment. We’ve been part of this neighborhood for a long time now and most people here know our faces by now.
