Handmade Tents

Our business, Handmade Tents, is based in Ajeet Colony at number 79. It is a quiet residential area, which actually works out well for us. We need the space and the calm to do our work properly. We make all our tents by hand, which is a slow and careful process. You won't find any huge automated machines in our workshop. Instead, we use heavy-duty sewing machines and do a lot of the finishing work by hand. The floor is usually covered in bits of canvas, thick thread, and heavy ropes. It’s a bit of a mess, but it’s a creative mess. We make everything from small tents for gardens to much larger ones used for local gatherings. We don't have a showroom or a catalog. If someone wants to see what we do, they just come by the house and see what we are currently working on. I learned this trade from my father, and I’ve been doing it for over twenty years now. It’s a skill that takes time to master. We don't do any flashy marketing. Our reputation comes from the quality of the stitching and the durability of the cloth we use. People know that if they get a tent from us, it’s going to hold up against the wind and the sun. We just take one order at a time and do our best with it. It is honest work and it keeps our family going.
