Jodhpur Sweets & Snacks

We are located in Ward/No-14/S of Mahaveer Nagar, right on the B.S.N.L Office Road. Being so close to National Highway 15 means we get a lot of people passing through town who are looking for a quick bite to eat. We have all sorts of sweets and snacks ready on the counter. We start early in the morning to get everything prepared and out in the display cases. The smell of frying snacks usually fills the air by mid-morning. It’s a simple shop with a few benches for people to sit if they want to take a break. The highway noise is always there in the background, but you stop noticing it after a while. We’ve been serving this neighborhood for a bit now, and we know what people like. It’s not a fancy restaurant, just a place to grab something tasty and move on. We spend a lot of time cleaning the glass and making sure the trays look decent. Sometimes the dust from the highway is a bit much, but we keep on top of it. In the evenings, the lights from the highway traffic create a bit of a glow outside our shop. We get a different crowd then, mostly long-distance drivers who need something to keep them going through the night. Our Jodhpur-style snacks are popular because they have that authentic taste people miss when they are traveling. My hands are usually stained with turmeric by the end of the day, but that is just part of the job. We have a small sink in the back where we wash up.
