Jodhpur Crafts Creations Federation

The Jodhpur Crafts Creations Federation is located out in the Boranada area, specifically in the Epip Zone. We share the space with Asia Pacific Exports at Plot No.F-607/608. This part of Jodhpur is very industrial, so there are big trucks and warehouses everywhere you look. It’s a dusty place, especially when the wind picks up, but it’s where all the real craft work gets organized. Our office is inside the warehouse complex. It’s mostly concrete floors and high ceilings. We don't have any fancy carpets or expensive paintings on the walls. We are here to manage the federation’s activities and help the local craft creators get their work out there. A lot of our time is spent looking at different pieces of furniture or handicraft items that come in from the smaller workshops. It’s a lot of physical work, moving things around and checking the quality. We don't use much marketing talk because we don’t really need to. The people we work with know us and we know them. It’s about the products and the people who make them. Some days the heat in the warehouse is pretty intense, but we have a few fans going and we just get on with it. It’s a busy, noisy environment, but it’s where the action is for the craft industry in Jodhpur. We’re just glad to be part of the hustle and keep the traditional work going as best as we can.
