Indana Palace

If you head over to Benakiya Road in the Saran Nagar area of Jodhpur, you’ll find where we set up. It’s a bit away from the main tourist crush, which we think is a good thing. The building has that old Jodhpur feel to it, with the stones and the architecture that people expect when they come to this city. We call it Indana Palace, and while it looks quite grand from the outside, inside we try to keep things pretty relaxed. We aren't one of those stiff places where you feel like you can't touch anything. We have a lot of local staff who have grown up right here in Jodhpur, so they know all the stories about the neighborhood. Working here feels more like looking after a big house than running a business. We get people coming for weddings or just to see the sights. Sometimes the kitchen gets really busy and you can smell the spices all the way down the hall. We don't have a big corporate office telling us how to talk to guests. We just use our common sense and try to be helpful. The road outside can get a bit today, but that’s just Jodhpur for you. We’ve spent a lot of years making this place what it is. It’s got some character and maybe a few squeaky doors, but it’s a place with a lot of heart. We just enjoy meeting whoever comes through.
