Kalawati Inter College

This college is over in the Kk Puri Colony in Jhansi. If you live around here, you’ve probably walked past our gate plenty of times. It’s an inter college, so we have the older students finishing up their schooling. The building is tucked into the colony, which makes it feel a bit more private than the schools on the main roads. We have several rooms filled with benches and desks. It’s not a brand-new place, so you’ll see some wear and tear on the walls and floors. We don't mind it much. The focus is on the books and getting the students ready for their board exams. That’s a big deal for everyone here. The atmosphere is serious but also a bit chaotic during the breaks when everyone is out in the hallways talking. We have a small staff room where we sit and plan things out. There isn't a lot of extra money for decorations or fancy stuff. We use what we have. Most of the students live nearby, so they walk or ride their cycles to get here. We see the same faces every day, and we know who is who. Sometimes we have to deal with things like leaking pipes or a fan that stops working, but we get it fixed eventually. It’s just a local college doing what it’s supposed to do for the young people in Jhansi. We keep things simple and just try to get through the curriculum each year without too much trouble.
