Dr.S.Radha Krishnan Public Inter College

Dr.S.Radha Krishnan Public Inter College is right in the middle of Sipri Bazar in Jhansi. If you know Deen Dayal Nagar, you know it is a crowded residential area where space is hard to find. The school is located in A-1, and it serves the families living in the nearby lanes of Nandan Pura. It is a tall building with several floors to make room for all the classes from the little kids up to the intermediate level. The entrance is right on the street, and it gets very lively when the school day ends and hundreds of students pour out at once. Inside, the stairs are narrow and the classrooms are packed with desks. We have a small office near the gate where the principal sits and deals with the daily paperwork. The walls are covered with some old photos and student artwork. It’s a noisy neighborhood, but once you are inside the classroom, you get used to the sounds of the market outside. The teachers here have been with us for a long time and they know most of the parents by name. We don't have a big field for sports, so the kids mostly play in the courtyard or the smaller open areas. It is a community school, through and through. We just try to keep things running smoothly and make sure the students are prepared for their final exams every year.
