K.D.S. College

If you travel out to Subhaspur Pali in Jaunpur, you’ll find our college sitting there among the more quiet parts of Uttar Pradesh. It’s a simple building that serves the people living in this area. We don’t have the big city atmosphere here at K.D.S. College, and that’s fine with us. The air is a bit different out here, and the pace of life feels slower than in the main town. Students come in from the surrounding villages, some walking and others coming on bikes. We spend our mornings getting the rooms ready and making sure the paperwork is in order. It’s a lot of manual work, honestly. We deal with the heat in the summers by keeping the windows open, and in the winter, everyone just wears their heavy sweaters. The walls are a plain color and we try to keep them clean, though the dust from the road always finds its way inside. We have a small staff and we all know each other's families. It's the kind of place where things move along at their own speed. We don't have a lot of fancy equipment, just the basic stuff that works for what we need to do. People around here know us as a fixture of the local community, and we just keep doing our bit every day without making a big fuss about it.
