We are based in Mallakapally Village at house number 2-46. It’s part of the Dharmasagar Mandal. Bhurakshith Farmers Producer Company Limited was started by a group of us who live right here in the village. We didn't want to travel far to manage our business, so we kept it local. The 506145 area is mostly farms anyway. You won't find any marble floors or air conditioning in our office. It’s just a room with some old wooden chairs and a lot of paper. We use it to coordinate what we are growing and how to get it to the buyers. Most of us have dirt under our fingernails most of the time. That is just how it is when you work the land. We talk about the rain a lot. If it doesn't rain, we are all in trouble. We try to share the cost of things like diesel and spare parts. It’s a practical way to keep our farms going. There is no big boss here. We all have a say in what the company does. Sometimes we stay late to finish the accounting because the day was spent out in the heat. It’s a simple life in Mallakapally. We don't need much. We just want to make sure our families are taken care of. If you visit, we will probably offer you a glass of water and tell you about the crops. We don't have a website or anything like that. Just this place.
