Our office is at Shop No. 38/C, which is right near the fish market in Parsudih. If you’ve ever been to Tatanagar, you know the Parsudih Market area is always packed and the smell of the fish market is something you never forget. It’s a lively place to have a travel agency. We spend our time looking at maps and booking tickets for people who want to go far away from East Singhbhum. It’s funny because while we’re talking about international flights and visas, you can hear the vendors outside yelling about the price of prawns. The office is small and we have posters of places we haven't visited yet on the walls. We handle the paperwork and the passports, which can be a real headache sometimes with all the rules changing. People come in from all over the local area to ask about prices or to see if they can get a better deal on a train or a flight. We don’t have a big staff, just a few of us who know how the systems work. It gets dusty inside because the market is so close, so we’re always dusting off the desks. It’s a decent living and we enjoy hearing the stories of where people are going and what they plan to do when they get there. It makes the day go by a lot faster for us.
