Hotel Surya Palace

This is Hotel Surya Palace. Our address is a bit of a mix-up on the official records, mentioning things like S.S.C and Ranchi, but we are actually operating out of Indore in Madhya Pradesh. It’s one of those things where the paperwork doesn't always match the reality on the ground. We are a regular hotel in a busy part of Indore. The city is always moving, and we are right there in the middle of it. The building has been here for years. It’s got that lived-in feel, where you know exactly which floorboards creak and which doors are a bit sticky. We don't have a big staff, just a few of us who handle everything from the front desk to the laundry. Sometimes we talk about the Ranchi connection or how the business got started with those old certificates, but mostly we just focus on the guests. The rooms are basic and get the job done. We spend a lot of time cleaning and making sure the fans are working. Indore gets quite dusty, so it’s a constant battle to keep things looking okay. We don't have any fancy mission statements or big promises. We just provide a place for people to sleep when they are in town. It is a simple life and a simple business. We are just people working a job and trying to keep the lights on for the next person who walks in.
