Goodwill Enterprises

Goodwill Enterprises is run out of H.No.-85 on Line No.-6 in Jamshedpur. If you know the city, you know these lines are part of the older residential layouts. The house is where everything happens. We have a couple of rooms dedicated to the business, while the rest of the place is just a normal home. It's in the 831001 zip code area, which is pretty central. Being in a residential street means we know all the neighbors and they know us. It’s the kind of place where people stop by just to say hello or ask how things are going. We don’t have a big staff, just a few of us who handle the day-to-day tasks. The rooms are a bit cramped because we have a lot of equipment and stock stored in the corners. We’ve been here for years, so the walls have some marks and the floors are a bit worn down from people coming in and out. There’s a small porch out front where we sometimes sit if the weather is nice, although Jamshedpur gets very hot in the summer. We don't really do any formal marketing or anything like that; people mostly find us by word of mouth or because they live nearby. It’s a simple, honest way to run a business, and we prefer it this way over being in a big sterile office block. It just suits us better to stay here.
